Journey to the edge of the room

The heroes of this project are people who practically never leave their homes.

Some of them work remotely, others live on the support of relatives. These are very different people, but they all have one thing in common: they ‘live’ on the Internet. Someone has a lot of friends, but communication with them is mainly online or at home. And some have chosen the path of a modern hermit.

I shot the characters in their personal space - in their flats, next to their animals, among their favourite things. I asked each of them the same question: why did they choose this way of life?

Under each photo the age of the hero and the number of years during which he or she officially does not work are indicated.

The internet affects most people's lives today, but my heroes' lifestyles are an exaggerated form of internet addiction and social isolation.

With the development of digital technology, this is becoming an increasingly urgent trend, especially in big cities, where the rhythm is too fast, stress levels are high and social interaction is constantly oversaturated.
