The Fifth Quarter

The project is created in the genre of mockumentary. Each character has their own story,
and together they form a single puzzle — a speculative image of the future.

Today, bioengineering is one of the most rapidly evolving fields of science:
biomimicry, bionics, neuro-implantation, biomimetics.
Technological transformation brings inevitable shifts in social structures and in the relationship
between the individual, the body, and the state.
The possibility of remaining outside these processes is becoming increasingly illusory —
adaptation to technology is turning into a condition for survival.

At the center of the project lies a hypothetical situation in which humans gain the ability to modify their own nature
and move beyond Darwinian evolution. This raises a number of questions:
Do we have the right to create semi-living organisms and use them for our own purposes?
Does subjectivity itself change under technological symbiosis?
What happens to the boundary between human and non-human?
How will enhanced humans treat those who refuse to change — perhaps the same way we now treat animals?

And most importantly: what kind of world will exist after Homo Sapiens?
